objectives has not changed and the same goes for the u.s. backing of these objectives. these are to bring back our stolen people, the hostages, back home all 132 of them to destroy hamas' military and company capabilities and to ensure gaza will never ever pose a terror threat to us again. now it is no secret that there is some disagreements with certain issues in the specifics of this war between washington and jerusalem but in the big scheme of things we do cii. we have our ways advice we take from best friends and share concerns with best friends but we have our ways to do these things in earlier this week our war cabinet took a unanimous decision to go into rafah specifically the operation right now focused on the eastern part of rafah for several reasons we have discussed before. is a very strategic city to obtain all of our war objectives.

israel and in israel which was very substantial. he said don't to our enemies don't try us don't test this -- >> john: and they did. >> they also stood by us and helped us repel against iran moving assets into the region and so forth. we are working together on increasing humanitarian aid into gaza that peer that they are involved at. they want to make sure they are able to achieve all of the war objectives. we want to say we don't want to agree with every's single small detail with our friends in washington but we have ways of conveying such messages holding these not in the public eye. >> john: but to your point that the u.s. and israel got together and defeated the fusillade of weapons that iran fired toward israel knowing that iran has been proven to be a toothless tiger. why doesn't netanyahu asked

biden to demand an unconditional surrender from comox and return all of the hostages living right there remains? >> i think it goes without saying. everyone -- >> john: no one is asking for an unconditional surrender from the white house. >> everyone wants to see hamas surrendering. everyone wants to see hamas defeated. everyone wants to see all the hostages back home. everyone wants to see a gaza that will no longer be a threat to israel. and if there are various ways to achieve these goals. there is no substitute for a victory a total victory in this war because we know what the alternative is. israel refuses to be butchered, burned, and raped again which is why we are operating in rafah now. >> jacqui: tall, can you tell us what the immediate impact will be of these weapons not arriving? what is the real effect? >> i think we will have to wait until the idf will address that matter. it is not something i can
11:09 am
discuss at this point. as the idf spokesperson donnie hug ari just said i think a few hours ago in israel and i can only echo his words here today. such issues pertaining to these reports that you just brought up are things that are being discussed behind closed doors. >> jacqui: lastly how is the administration expressed to israel the way in which it would support eradicating hamas? because we hear them say they are backing israel and its intention to eliminate the terrorist threat but also seem to be watching pressure on israel to pull it back. what do we hear on the other side meaning go forward? >> i can speak for israel here and say we know what it means to destroy hamas' military capabilities and other governing take my capabilities. this is by the way one of the reasons we are in rafah right now over the past 24 hours or so of taking control operational
11:10 am
control of the gaza side of the rafah border crossing for instance because that was a key artery that helped hamas establish their terrorist regime in gaza from which much of the ammunition and funneling in over the years but rafah is very, very strategic to the goal mentioned. we know for a fact there are hostages here and hamas operational battalions there and probably other key figures in the organization so it is vital they operate there. >> john: and president biden is saying hands off rafah, thank you for joining us, appreciated. >> thank you, john. >> john: some pretty significant operation conducted by the idf israeli defense force and they took out a man named hochman only in their navy so they say that was an operation i think in the northern part of gaza and took him out but
11:11 am
of course everybody is wondering where is this yaya seymour? will he be taken out? >> jacqui: i think also what i am intrigued by is the administration is straddling this messaging issue right now. ironclad commitment versus pulling back the arms shipment and at the same time they say they want to eradicate, loss, support israel in eradicating hamas but you saw earlier this week when israel complained about the cease-fire agreement and the fallout after that israel complaining that we feel like the u.s. wants the cease-fire and the hostage deal at the end of the war and the u.s. admitting anything they negotiate the hope will be built into something enduring. you can't build and then an enduring cease-fire and also eradicate hamas at the same t time. they are inherently in conflict. >> jacqui: the two things cannot coexist. i think israel's probably a

of 2020 there are tweets to prove that as well. she is openly advocated for censorship and deep platform and political people she does not agree with including donald trump. so given her extensive history with progressive causes and groups, john, how can any sane and sober person believe as ceo of npr she can be remotely objective regarding for example this upcoming presidential election where she clearly has a horse in the race at this point and an ideology that can be regarded as radical. >> john: on that point here is what the npr spokesperson is bullard said stepping to the role she, mark, has upheld and fully committed npr's code of ethics in the independence of the newsroom. the ceo is not involved in editorial decisions but according to berliner who wrote that article about political bias at npr, the newsroom has its own problems. >> the numbers prove that, right? ira berliner did an internal

poll and found that 87 democrats work at npr ended 0.0 republicans worked there. if you look at the statement when it was launched 55 years ago when it was created, john it was to "speak with many voices and many dialects." mar has set herself that npr's greatest strength is its diversity but it is clearly missing the most important diversity at all, diversity of thought and exchange of ideas and obviously objective reporting that looks at both sides of a story and doesn't inject opinion into every story from the left but that is clearly no longer the case. you just have to wonder people at home are saying why am i still paying for this? why are my taxpayer dollars supporting this particular organization when clearly they are not succeeding in their mission to simply report the news without bias? that is why it calls for npr to be defunded to keep happening but it should be noted may be
11:21 am
10% of npr's total budget comes from government funds directly and indirectly. so it would still be sold to are we giving taxpayer dollars to it? epic a lot of people are asking that question, john. >> john: it's a private organization with millions of dollars in revenue last year. i looked into this to do this with you. less than 1% of npr's budget comes from the federal government but about 10% comes indirectly from federal, state, and local governments. there is a substantial old piece of money and taxpayer money going to support npr. based on the fact that 11% of the funding for npr comes from the government is it not sort of incumbent upon mar to show up when a committee asks her to go to the house? >> exactly i think it's a rhetorical question. she said she will give her testimony in writing. and that is not the same as sitting on the hot seat there and having to take questions and follow-up questions in terms of how you are running this particular organization.
11:22 am
she looks cowardly and maybe she just realized, john, she can't defend the indefensible because when you put up those streets like we did earlier in the segment showing all the things she has said and where she comes from from a political and ideological perspective i don't see how this could have been a very good day of her so i guess she figured don't call me i will call you. >> john: do we have that picture we can put it up one more time when she was in arizona? she had the biden campaign hat on? yeah. it might've gone away, there it is. there we will leave it there. and deposit the question of why she didn't show up at capitol hill. thank you. >> jacqui: chaos erupting after police finally cleared the anti-israel encampment on george washington university's campus. how the fallout could bleed all the way to the dnc. we will break it down with fox news contributor marc thiessen. >> john: plus leaders of school districts on the u.s. how anti-semitism may be spreading to students as young as pre-k,
