monday, may 6 right now on cnn republican hopefuls gathered to make their case to become donald trump's vp pick. and thousands displaced and a young boy killed as texas struggles to recover from the devastating flooding all right. 6:00 a.m. here in washington alive. look at the white house on this monday morning. good morning, everyone. >> happy monday. i'm kasie hunt. it's wonderful to have you with us scandalous affairs, secret payments, accusations of gestapo tactics, and we still have six months to go before america is 47th, president is elected welcome to the new normal donald trump, of course, returns to court this morning
3:02 am
for week four of his criminal hush, money trial. week three ended with gripping testimony from former trump aide, hope hicks. she offered potentially damaging details about the hush money payments that were made by trump to adult films star stormy daniel's trump refrained from commenting on his former employees testimony so i'm not allowed to comment on any of that. >> as you know, i'm under a gag which is very unprecedented. >> look at him being respectful of that the former president then held a fundraiser at mar-a-lago over the weekend. he told republican donors the president biden is running a quote, gestapo administration and quote, while falsely claiming that the white house is behind all of his criminal prosecutions this is of course not the first time that trump has used nazi rhetoric and the campaign and the biden team wasted little time in responding. they said, quote trump is once again making despicable and insulting comments about the holocaust. while in the same breath attacking law enforcement,

celebrating political violence and threatening our democracy all right, our panels here, former federal prosecutor elliot williams, michigan congresswoman debbie dingell, and matt gorman, who is former senior adviser to tim scott's presidential campaign welcome all. >> thank you for being here congresswoman. >> let me start with you on these comments from trump, where he called, it, said that the vitamin striation was using gestapo tactics. we were just talking about how high emotions are running in other areas of our country. but this kind of language, it's not the first time donald trump has used it. what, what are the ramifications of trump talking like this? well, this is how donald trump talks about many things and i think it's just contributing to a whole culture right now of the kind of way we're treating each other. >> a culture of pate, a cultural pettiness against each other. and i'm very concerned about what is happening in our communities and people being pitted against each other. and i do believe that former president trump fans the flames
3:04 am
of it. >> elliot williams, when you use a phrase like gestapo tactics, let's just be clear about what we're really talking about. >> yeah. >> well, what's really interesting is that across america, look, go through these newspapers that are sitting here right now, anti-semitism is on the rise in the country. there are documented acts hi, and if not, if not actual physical violence harm against jews when you use terms like gestapo tactics, even casually calling back to the holocaust i think number one, i'll probably bring back very painful memories for many people and their families, but also to using the kind of rhetoric that the congresswoman talked about here that really billy has very little place even as metaphor in a civil society. it's just, it's just, there's just no place for it. but again, were yesterday on the internet on twitter i think idiot and liar. we're trending terms, right? and i just think it's indicative of the point that she was making, which is that
3:05 am
words words matter and one ought not use terms like to stop full stop. yeah. >> matt gorman, as the republican at the table. i mean, how do you see danger in what donald trump is doing here? >> i mean, i think stepping back for a minute, i think it was interesting. we've talked about this quite a bit. i think in many respects x in the back of your mind, you've got to remember that there is a money deficit among his campaign and democrats, so i think some of this word uses somewhat intentional, whether it's for small dollar donors or like you saw in the room to try and think like normal, like when you say small-dollar donors were talking about people you sent emails to exactly what they're going to go for talking about the gestapo. >> i think i think you have to remember that what animates these folks is that pat sort of language like that very us against them language and whether they're high dollar donors in the room or low dollar donors, there's, there is a somewhat of in his mind a purpose behind this sort of thing. >> nothing. it's important to keep in mind. you can't discount the fact that the
3:06 am
republicans, they have money gap to make up and i wouldn't be surprised if that some of the reason why so matt, i have to play for you what you're a former boss, tim scott had to say kristen welker interviewed him on meet the press over the weekend. watch this let's. set or will you commit to accepting the election results of 2024? bottom line at the end of the day the 47th president united states movie first it donald's shop. >> and i'm excited to get back to low inflation, low unemployment senator, yes or no? yes or no will you accept the election results of 22? 24 no matter who wins that is my statement so could not answer yes or no question. and i raise this in the context of what we were just talking about because the president himself has raised the specter of political violence. the former president of political violence, if he doesn't win and says that the election is unfair what, is tim scott doing their and do you see any danger in that i think a couple of things i think what
3:07 am
you're seeing, whether it's tim scott, it's it's stepping back what you're seeing kind of a the sunday shows now is in real time, folks, whether it's doug burgum, tim scott, or others, really play out in live time a some sort of an audition too. >> i think be the vp and you're able to kinda compare the answers in real time. it's kind of unprecedented and look, i will also said he's given the answer that he thinks donald trump he thinks donald trump wants to hear that he won't accept the results of the 2024. >> look, i don't know about that, but what i think is what was surprising to me kinda being on the road for the last year with him was in many respects, that is where the party is at. that is in were many of the grassroots republicans are at large part. and so i'm not surprised, i don't in any way, think that it's calling for political violence. but i also think in fairness though two, he's not going to, he's going to he's going to stick to what he wanted to say and wasn't going to be swayed either went by
3:08 am
christie's that might be where certain primary voters are, but that is a staggering display of cowardice from the sitting senator that he can't say. >> i will support the next president of the united states or, well, we'll accept the pardon me, will accept the results of the next election. it's just remarkable that maybe we can analogize this to the disk we've taught this course point we were making earlier that we've sunk so low as a nation that we can't have a major party and folks who might be the next vice president, look at a camera and say, i will result the lag. i will accept the results of a free and fair election here's reality. >> my friends, the strength of our democracy is that you sleep, you have confidence that the elections are held fair. it's clearly, you believe in the outcome. we are now moving closer to what we see in other governments were democracies of toppled, where you have dictators when people say i won't, if i, if i don't win, we're going to overthrow the
3:09 am
government i mean, it's not, i'm not saying that kim scott saying that, but he won't is to say that he'll accept the results of the election january 6 was a precursor to what we really could be seen in this next election. and it should scare all of us. people need to have confidence in their democracy, in their electoral process. and that what comes out on election day we'll be honest and will be accepted by all the people. >> now the only other point i'd make is that it's not just the good behavior of the viktor that is important to a sound democracy. it's the losing parties respect of the system that is actually the first act of a new administration or whatever else it might be. and the fact that there's this drumbeat from these folks who are auditioning to be vice president, not willing to say if we lose, we will accept the fact that we lost. it's very troubling to me, but and it's also leadership matters in terms of what people believe what the rank and file of any political

you've heard this one before. house lawmakers expected to vote this week to oust the house speaker in case it's mike johnson, congresswoman marjorie taylor greene, leading the effort, but it is very unlikely john on some will lose his job as house democrats have already announced a plan to kill the effort several republicans have also pushed back against greens plan, but she says she is forging ahead and what you guys need to know is i really don't give a rat. what anybody up here says about what i'm doing, i care completely about the people of this country and i cannot wait to put the uniparty on record next week okay. >> panelists back, congresswoman dingell. >> it seems like she's gonna go ahead. are you going to vote to save johnson? i'm going to found my leader hakeem jeffries sees indicated what we will probably do i look i can approach this two ways. >> i could enjoy the fact that the republicans, once again, show how disorganized or that they it would rather do this kind of ridiculousness and
3:16 am
bills like laundry liberty act instead of getting an faa bill and every culture of bill passed. but i really think that country wants us in congress to get some work done. i will work with most republicans, any republican to get some a partisan legislation done that this country needs and marjorie is just making a first of the house of representatives again. >> so here's what hakeem jeffries had to say about why he's leading democrats to do this and our view what traditionally be let the other side work its own mess out but when that mess starts to impact the ability to do the job on behalf of the american people in a responsible thing at that moment might be for us to make clear that we will not allow the extremist that though the congress in the country into chaos so matt gorman does he get credit for that not particularly, but you know, you know look, i think the real danger for for mike johnson is in november is not now you
3:17 am
know, i don't think any republican really wants the job right now at this point. >> but i think come november, that is when you could di when we're all going to be choosing a new senate leader, would probably there'll be i would assume i wouldn't be surprised to someone challenging johnson, regardless of what the outcome is in the house. i think that is where the dangerous for johnson not right now at this moment. >> who do you think challenges? >> i think that depends. i think it depends. a how we do in the presidential election, whether the republicans keep the house are not. i mean, certain i thought it was notable. you had johnson emmer scalise, the leadership team at the top three, although in the same way in the ukraine and israel bill, at least to photic voted the other way. i thought it was very notable. >> interesting. elliott, i mean, in terms of what hakeem jeffries is doing here is really interesting. >> it does seem to say something about the trust that there may be between jeffries and johnson that didn't exist with mccarthy? >> i think so. and i think it's a recognition like in the movie independence day, we have to like randy quaid flying into the space ship at the end.
3:18 am
sometimes you just got to take one for the team and maybe crashing in that space. and that's kinda what they're doing here. i don't know for folks that don't get the analogy, but i it's and that movie is older than i really realy randy quaid sacrifices himself for the good of humanity. and i wonder if that's what mike johnson is doing you know, it's really just like if we were england there would have been just a different party that would have come together from the center or whatever else and banded together and take him congress it's over. america can't do that. so when we have a very divided congress like this we're just going to end up in this situation where the majority party is constantly fighting amongst itself and it's almost very tragic that this is where we have been all throughout 20 it's 24. >> well, that's the argument. congresswoman, where people will say and correct me if i'm wrong, but i feel like i've heard you say some version of this that it is actually necessary for us to have two healthy political parties that
3:19 am
are functioning properly for our democracy to work. >> i do believe that and i do believe that we all need to be working together i am very worried about how divided we are replaced every community in every different way. and i think that up, believe me, i think they're people that are trying to cost these kind of divisions. i think two republicans need to get the rules changed. i've always worked across the eye. i've always worked with my colleagues in the republican side to do things that are right for this country. and i remind people on a regular basis, united, we stand divided, we fall. >> all right. congressman dingell, thank you so much for spending some time with us this morning. i was really appreciate your voice okay. >> i had here so many hopefuls, only one spot as donald trump remains mom on his running mate plus more than two dozen protesters arrested after clashing with police at the university of virginia. this is one of the five things you have to see this morning. and a little later, i'll be joined by democratic senator and biden campaign co-chair. the senator chris central. today seven easter with robin hood gold,

resume in new york city on friday with trump's 20 16 campaign press secretary and white house communications director hope hicks took the stand and threw her testimony. prosecutors showed jurors the transcript of the infamous access hollywood tape that almost up ended. you would have thought it would have ended trump's run for the white house. it did not, of course before cross-examination, hicks began crying and appeared to become overwhelmed. she finished her testimony after a brief break after court on friday, trump tried to clear up a lie he had told the day before that his gag order prohibited prohibited him from testifying in the trial the ganglion is not to testify. the gag order stuff three from talking about people in responding when they say things about me, we have people saying things about me and i'm not allowed to respond. so there's judge has taken away my constitutional all right all right. >> or panels back. matt gorman is still here. we're also joined by former senior adviser
3:33 am
to hillary clinton's 2016 campaign, karen finney and npr host, are you sure roscoe? thank you very much for being here matt gorman, let me start with you because hope hicks, of course, this sort of fascinating figure what did she make of how her crying on friday seemed to really be related to something she had said under prosecution questioning, she started to cry under cross, but that it seemed at least related to her giving up trump a little bit to what what they wanted i mean, she is really it's kinda hard to overstate how striking a figure she cut during this period of time and the campaign, and how close she was to trump. >> she's a unique figure in troubled in many ways. she predated him coming out of the campaigns were for ivanka trump previously and she's someone who has not sold out. jean write a book. she's not he doesn't have a cable contract sheet after the white house after all that stuff had happened, she's kind of went back and is kind of working in the private sector now. and she
3:34 am
has a lot of kind of inside knowledge, especially those early days on the campaign. so no matter what she was going to say he was going to be a very compelling testimony, very unique than someone say like michael cohen. now that the testimony is very compelling, let's put up what she had to say that this was at the very end of her questioning by prosecutors. so the prosecutors asked, did mr. trump's say anything else about this issue when he told you that michael made the payment, did he say anything about the timing of the news reporting regarding oh, hope says he yes, he wanted to know he trump how it was playing. and my thoughts and opinion about this story versus having the story a different kind of story before the campaign had michael not made that payment? and i think mr. trump's opinion was it was better to be dealing with it now. and that it would have been bad to have that story come out before the election. can so here's one of the things that's interesting. i hope hicks, she also though, has a lawyer that is not paid by donald trump. so she clearly
3:35 am
knew that in order to be free to tell the truth, it would be in her own best interests, rhombus legal interests. you have to imagine she's been watching others who have maybe not had such a great fate when they've tied their fate directly to trump so i thought that was an interesting point. it's been, i'll tell you having been on the other side of it in 2016 it's been very interesting to watch because again, the barrage, if we heard the testimony about how david pecker it wasn't jail with during the primary and during the general election, the attacks on hillary, the attacks on any of his opponents you sort of knew it at the time. what was going on, but there was no proof. so to hear this play out in court, at this moment is it's troubling actually, because to be honest, i mean, think about those last days of the campaign, and i know we've talked about this
3:36 am
quite a bit. if it had come out, it would have impacted the election because we all know that his wife is, the one who saved them after that access hollywood tape came out, right? it was very we were all watching to see what is she going to say and when she's a well, it's just boys locker room talk then with the permission structure that female voters needed, that a lot of people needed, yeah i you it's wonderful to have you here the next up potential witnesses we have michael cohen we've stormy daniels and also potentially karen mcdougal. >> so we're still waiting to see who prosecutors are going to call. i mean, what are you watching for as a stormy daniel's takes the stand potentially or michael cohen, particularly as it relates to whether or not this trial is going to break through with voters i mean, i think that when you have someone like michael cohen, i think is obviously a complicated character to say the people i don't, know if he will break through. i think stormy daniel's like i'm going i
3:37 am
think she could be make a very compelling case. what i would be interested in though, is trump's reaction because i feel like that is what could actually be the thing like, especially with stormy daniels, because he's had such horrible things to say about her he clearly gets so worked up when he sees someone especially, let's be real women talking about him in a certain way. you could see him coming out and saying some very nasty things. and i think that at times will remind women voters of the things that are the problems that they we have with donald trump at time, if he does that, he certainly gonna be violating bank gag order he doesn't always follow the rules i don't think about now all right. >> let's talk about this too. because over the weekend, the trump vip stakes really heating up several republicans on his vp shortlist hitting the sunday morning talk shows, south carolina senator tim scott

all right, heel is back. >> what do we think karen well, you know, interesting about this. >> we've always heard right? that the most folks, it's an ordinance of one when you're talking about donald trump because he's watching so clearly you know, they sort of had there and it was definitely like a shark tank weekend, right. because they had their time with the donors a little press and the flash, and then you get your tv. let's see how you do i mean, he's parading all of them and they know what the stakes are. they know what he's looking for, right? he wants a vice president is clear during tim scott dancer kind of shameful for united states senator who does take an oath to defend the constitution in the united states of america. but p. shaw not be able to answer a pretty simple question. but again, they both knew with him watching the stakes are high, if you want that vp slot. well, on the reality in terms of what tim scott's doing there is that this has become one of these litmus test questions that
3:40 am
every single one of these contenders is being asked and clearly trump is watching what the answers are. >> absolutely. and they know. and tim, scott and do that he had to say, well, you know, trump's going to win. he could not say that he will accept anything other than a trump win. >> i think that also these vp candidates understand that they can't be, they have to be out there, but they can't have too much star power, right? >> like trump wants someone who can kind of blend in and and defend him with the full might of, you know, of their abilities. and also who can just sing his praises and whatever he does, they can spin it to the best of their ability. >> what do you think the criteria or it's almost as if trump posted a reality show like in an previously where certain people, forget the name practice or something. yeah, so it's very interesting, right? because again, this shows, they're not doing it because they want to have with jake and dan, even though we all love to hang out with jacob, we love chicken dinner. but like there

mesothelial of victims and their families. >> if you or a loved one who has been diagnosed with mesothelial, call us now welcome back this morning palestinians are fleeing eastern raffa after israel's defense forces dropped leaflets in the area, ordering their immediate evacuation ahead of a planned military operation. >> this, as the cia director bill burns plans to remain in doha today, despite previous plans to go to israel, a source it tells cnn that extended stay coming is the latest round of ceasefire and hostage talks of stalled with little sign of a breakthrough joining me now is democratic senator chris of delaware. he serves on the foreign senate foreign relations committee and his national co-chair for the biden-harris campaign senator, good morning. thanks for being here. >> good morning. great to be on with you senator, let's start with what we are learning overnight here about these leaflets that were dropped causing palestinians to evacuate. >> it suggests that israel is preparing to make some sort of incursion into rafah. what would be your message? what is
3:47 am
the biden administration's message to israeli prime minister? minister benjamin netanyahu about doing that the message is delivered to prime minister netanyahu several times in personal meetings is that he has to observe the rules of war to provide for civilians to relocate to provide for humanitarian aid to get in of course, israel is justified in going after hamas, but they have to do so in a way that allows for the relocation of civilians. >> so the dropping of these leaflets is yet another example. hopefully of the idf continuing to follow the rules of war but what i am more optimistic about and also more concerned about frankly casey is whether or not this hostage deal will come to fruition it's been more than 200 days that families from countries around the world have prayed in, hoped for their loved ones to be released by hamas i've met with rachel and job on a goldberg-polin repeatedly. their son, hersh was just
3:48 am
revealed by hamas to still be alive beneath gaza and as you said in your opening, bill burns, are cia director continues to be in the region trying to close this deal between hamas and israel. a deal that was complicated by hamas directly attacking the kerem shalom gate through which humanitarian aid has been flowing into gaza i was going to ask you because i know when we were corresponding about this earlier in the weekend, there was a sense of a relative sense of optimism about where things stand. >> and this morning clearly that sense seems to have faded it has it is it much less likely that we're going to get a deal now? and is what you identify the reason for that? what else is going on with it this is a very difficult deal because you've got elements in the netanyahu government who do not want a ceasefire and obviously you've got in hamas murderous terrorist organization that launched the attack acts of october 7 and many elements of which do not
3:49 am
want to see a hostage deal. >> they don't want to release the hostages. they don't want frankly, make progress towards peace. so you've got combatants on both sides who have some elements who don't want to see this deal. the united states has applied significant pressure on qatar to expel the hamas leadership if they don't come forward and we've applied significant pressure to the netanyahu government to be respectful, responsive, and to come forward. and there's been tens of thousands of israelis protesting in the streets for a hostage release deal. so what would be most positive about this is that there'll be a more than 40 days ceasefire. it would allow for the distribution of badly needed humanitarian aid to confront the famine conditions in the north of gaza. and it would begin the steps towards a regional peace something many of us have worked hard on, that would move forward. saudi israeli reconciliation senator, there were reports over the weekend as well that the us had paused a un ammunition shipment
3:50 am
to the israelis. >> is that your understanding of what's happened? it hasn't been denied by the biden administration. and is that the right move? >> i have no more information about that. that's public than what's been reported and i so far have simply been told this was a logistics issue. but it does signal that there are grave concerns on the part of many of us. it is a reminder that many have raised concerns about the conduct of what might be the last phase of this war in gaza, where there's more than 1 million refugees in rafah, they have to be allowed to move out of the way of a large-scale attack. that government has threatened over and over that if hamas does not release the hostages, they will go ahead well, the full-blown attack on raffa, i am modestly encouraged by what you just reported this morning. leaflets are being dropped a small number of individuals are being relocated, 100,000 peoples, not a small number of people, but in the context of rafah, it is
3:51 am
i continue to be concerned about and to work on hostage issues as we discussed, casey, senator rounds and i got a bill passed through the senate last week that would stop taxing american hostages. evan gershkovich is still in prison in russia a year on adjacent rosanna washington post reporter was in prison in iran for 18 months. they are reminders of how hostages are held around the world, not just by hamas, but by other governments. and that americans continue believe it or not to be taxed by their own government when they are wrongfully detained or held hostage yeah, that is pretty remarkable. i'm glad that you took a moment to underscore that senator, can i ask you also about the campus protests related to this president biden came out late last week and condemned instances of violence do you think that he is making the right balance in terms of how he is discussing free speech rights and violence on campus. and did he wait too
3:52 am
long to come out and make that speech? >> case? yeah. i think this is just common sense, which is that in the united states, we respect free speech. it's important that people of all ages and backgrounds are able to express their political views. a particular and something that's become as contentious as the war in gaza. but when that free speech borders over into violence and intimate mediation, when students can go to campus, classes are participate in graduation without physical violence, without threats and intimidation. that that's wrong. and so many have spoken out about it. i think that's the right balance to strike in a country that's committed to free speech and where there were protests on many campuses that were peaceful. but in recent days, we've seen in a few cases those protests become violent and interfere with schooling and education frankly, in some cases, acquiring school administrations, college administrations to call in local police forces senator, do
3:53 am
you think that reality of what's going on, the pictures, the way it's unfolding does that help donald trump's election chances in the fall? >> a, look, there is a sharp contrast between what donald trump says every day about his willingness to respect the election, how he views the january 6 riot that storm the capital. his intention to release those who've been convicted of writing and have insurrection of an assault on police as opposed to campus protests that have happened recently for a few weeks they are not a fundamental threat to our democracy. donald trump is the only president in the last century whose in any way encouraged violence related to our politics that threatened to overturn the results of an election. that's a far more significant issue than the ongoing current focus on whether or not on a few campuses either riders protesters exceeded what was expected of them in terms of
3:54 am
the balance of free speech and action and whether or not police response was overly heavy handed. there's been a lot of focus on campus protests. but bluntly, when i was up in new hampshire, this weekend campaigning for the biden-harris campaign. what i heard from the vast majority of folks i heard from and met with was concerns about cost of living reduce it the reduction. forgive me. a prescription drug prices investment in new manufacturing of the jobs report. that's what was on the mind of most of the voters. i met with this weekend very briefly, senator, before i let you go, i we were discussing earlier, senator tim scott, not saying yes or no as to whether he would accept the results of the election. >> this of course, after donald trump gave an interview to time where he said that there wouldn't be political violence, assuming because he's going to win the election basically raising the specter of violence in the event that he loses. and congresswoman debbie dingell
3:55 am
said, here are a few, about an hour ago that she's concerned about another january 6 type event in the event donald trump loses. do you share that concern? >> what there's lots of folks watching cable tv who are worried and who are anxious. and who are concerned. and we do a lot of talking on these shows that increases that worry and concern. for folks who are worried. i've got a simple antidote which is get out there and get active and get engaged the events i went to this weekend in new hampshire from claremont to dover, from conquered to manchester to portsmouth. there were lots of folks getting engaged and the local campaigns up and down the state of new hampshire where there's a lot at stake, control of the state house, who's gonna be the next governor, whether or not new hampshire, which has often been a swing state we'll come out and vote for president biden and vice president harris. i do think there's lots of reasons to be concerned. if you read that time magazine interviewed by donald trump, it is alarming. he says appalling
3:56 am
things on a regular basis. sunday was yamaha shoah the remembrance of the holocaust day. and for president trump, former president trump to casually compare the current president and his administration to the nazi regime, is just out of bounds and completely unfounded his rhetoric is out of bounds. and i hope folks who are paying attention and who are concerned, we'll get engaged and get active in this campaign. >> all right, senator chris for us this morning, senator, thanks so much for being here. i really appreciate it. >> thank you, casey all right. >> 55 minutes past the hour. here's your morning round up this morning and manhattan, a status conference in new jersey. senator bob menendez, his federal criminal hello, case that hearing expected to focus on evidence menendez has requested for his defense against corruption charges former prosecutor nathan wade speaking out for the first time about his affair with fulton county, da fani willis as american as apple pie wade, who

3:58 am
president biden's dog. this is something she said this weekend joe biden's dog has attacked 24 secret service people. >> so how many people is enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt? before you make a decision on a dog and he is not living at the white house. that's the question that the president should be held accountable to your saying you should be president should be a kaltura is what is, what is the number? >> wow. >> oh, okay. i mean i get the tactic right. we're used to seeing conservatives deflect and making about biden, but it's sister yes. shot your dog and goat on things. she was also it's like no and by the way the fact that this made it into her memoir, let's write it. >> so there was a there was a draft that went to an editor that went through lots of other processes. and it's still stayed in the book. no, it did nobody voter and say give let's not put the dog killing

piece in there. >> i never thought that you'd see the de were someone who wants to be vip? p clearly is running on killing puppies like it's just like a very wet are killing dogs like it's just that is not as american as apple pie, like talking about an affair all right i mean, it's rare. i was not here last monday. we're talking about it that it's rare to have the story carry over a week are still talking about the darn dog but i mean, it's kind of karen's play like karen and i are you still like cleaning up kind of what your boss has set off the cuff, you know, it's in this has been that's been planned like you wrote multiple drafts after this, so and she also wrote this which i hadn't hadn't so this is also in the book, right? so this is why she was asked about this. she writes in the book, quote, what would i do if i was president on the first de in office in 2025. thanks for asking. i happen to have a list the first thing. okay, so this is like she's president of the united states. okay what could she could do anything she wants the
4:00 am
first thing is make sure joe biden's dog was nowhere on the grounds, and then she writes, commander, say hello to cricket for me. >> and close. >> yeah. so we'll get again is the dog that she took out back in shaw. >> never say so. she's more focused on how do i make this about joe biden than acknowledging maybe killing a puppy is a not something like you said, not something around. >> well, trump doesn't like dogs, so i think maybe license say you went down like a dog or this good dog and all this stuff. so maybe she this is clearly her i think she wanted to sound tough and like i'm oh, yes, i'm a woman, but i will do those hard. they shall if that if that was what was going on in the trump team has really been very put anything to do with that? i think it didn't work. i think she should a ran at past slim fors and i mean, i don't think trump likes this type of bat, this type of bad press i'm going toe
