4:11 am
remarkable. in terms of oil price ares, there was a big dump of oil prices last week at minus 5.5%. when it comes to rate fears, we started with one rate cut and then we ended the week with two rate cuts on the back of what we heard from jay powell and the data. all of these three concerns last week was rather positive because we saw some improvements and this is why we got these better performance from the u.s. >> you know, one factor with the global markets is the dollar. we have seen a strengthening dollar this year. you are focusing on continued strength. you downgrade the euro and pound and emerging market currencies. i want to talk about the stronger dollar on the markets. technology stocks have flagged the dollar in recent quarters. as we see the dollar
4:12 am
strengthening, it increases the price of commodities. how are you looking at the dollar risk? >> it is a bit of a mixed bag. the dollar strength is coming from the fact that all of the others are weak. we have seen it in the japanese yen crash, which seems to be at least on point. we still have chinese yuan weakness and euro weakness because ecb is expected to cut ahead of the fed. same story with the bank of gl england. this creates opportunities. you mention the european market. this is a region we recently upgraded because the dynamic with growth and inflation is getting better and also in terms of monetary policy with a better story than the fed. interestingly, we have seen despite the fact of the dollar

4:15 am
geopolitical risk right now? we are seeing wti below $80 a barrel. when you are looking at the geopolitical risk in the market, where should investors look at that risk and how should they respond to it? >> i think oil prices are not at the risk premium with the oil demand and supply. we like to find some of the opportunities standing from geopolitical risk. one is the east/west divide. china traveling to europe this week. there is a big shift. there are winners with vietnam and mexico. we are trying to find winners of the current tensions we are seeing. these are examples related to reshoring or near shoring which
